Help I promised my wife a couple mushroom focused dishes for her birthday dinner, but I absolutely hate mushrooms.

Like the title says, My wife’s birthday is in two weeks and she has requested lots of mushrooms. I’ve cooked button mushrooms a couple of times over the years, but I want to get adventurous with this and make a couple different mushroom focused dishes, but I don’t know anything about mushrooms, and am drawing a blank on what to make. Can anyone offer any suggestions? I consider myself a very competent home cook, and am not afraid to attempt anything.

Speaking as someone who hates mushrooms, the risotto was incredible, though I still wasn’t a huge fan of the texture of the large chunks.
